Community Advocacy

Over the years, I have been involved with multiple non-profit organizations. I served on the board of Music in Schools Today, a San Francisco-based nonprofit that provides music education and instruments to underserved K-12 students. I have also worked with MassCare for the American Red Cross, participated in Gavin Newsom's (then Mayor) Project Homeless Connect, and served as an Arts Editor and Advocate for the North Hollywood Arts District in Los Angeles. Currently, I volunteer as a foster with a statewide rescue organization for dogs and am engaged in multiple healing communities.

Previous Experience: Emerging Technologies and the Intersection of Arts/Media

My career began in Silicon Valley, where I worked in emerging technology evangelism for Adobe and later for Apple, Sony, and other companies. At Adobe, I focused on supporting and promoting PostScript and PDF formats within software. While at Apple, I collaborated with the QuickTime (.mov) engineering team on developer tools and programs. Later, I was responsible for brand marketing and developing high-level strategic partnerships with content partners, primarily in the music industry.

I spent over two decades in technology, entertainment, and artist relations, collaborating with diverse artists such as Santana, Metallica, Herbie Hancock, Robert Altman, Mark Mothersbaugh (Devo), Seal, Chris Isaak, and others. In my art and event space in Los Angeles's NoHo Arts District, I represented and promoted the works of independent filmmakers, musicians, and emerging artists. My clients included major technology and entertainment studios, artists, boutique wineries, holistic health brands, and music-related companies.
